Joel M. Lerner, FAPLD, is founder and CEO of Environmental Design, a firm specializing in landscape consulting and design. Catering to residential and commercial clients for over 35 years, Joel is the creator of LERNSCAPING, a unique system of design that matches personalities to properties.

Joel has written “Green Scene”, a syndicated weekly landscape garden column for newspapers worldwide, including The Washington Post.

He hosted The Garden Show on WWRC-AM Talk Radio in Washington, D.C. for five years, appeared on Fox Morning News, was featured on TBS, NPR, Lifetime, as national spokesperson for the Toro Company, and did public service announcements for OPEI Outdoor Power Equipment Institute.
